Course overview

When responding to an obstetric or maternity call, keep several things in mind. First, pregnancy itself is not a disease that needs treatment; rather, it is the natural continuation of the human species. For the most part, childbirth is a happy event for all involved, but emotions range from extreme excitement to panic; therefore, you must bring a sense of professional calm and control to the scene.
