EPR Newborn Resuscitation (EPC 3e ALS Edition)
Tracking # 20-962186
Course overview
This interactive lecture explores caring for a patient in labor and assisting with childbirth in the prehospital setting. Despite the overwhelming trend toward childbirth in a healthcare setting, a significant number of parents choose to deliver their child at home. Almost 1% of childbirths occur each year outside the hospital setting. Less than two thirds of home births involve a certified nurse midwife or lay midwife. For these patients, EMS practitioners may become the only trained option when complications develop for the mother or newborn child.
