Course overview

This program will acquaint nurses with the specialty of forensic nursing and to describe how to use homicide classifications to identify school shooters. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to: define personal-cause homicide, describe characteristics of the four subgroups of personal-cause homicides, and define four practice settings in which nurses may be able to identify school shooters and initiate prevention programs and intervention strategies.
