Course overview
This course will teach the physician how to diagnose and treat myofascial trigger points of the lumbar and pelvic spine. Topics such as the neurology and physiology of a trigger point, anatomy and proper biomechanics of the lumbar, pelvis and hip musculature will be discussed. An in depth look on how to identify and treat these muscles using ischemic compression as well as strain/counter-strain techniques will be covered.
