Course overview

You encounter numerous safety hazards in everyday life that can potentially result in an accident. While some accidents are not avoidable, many can be. Some older adults may be more vulnerable to hazards because of their fragility and cause life-threatening injuries. As a direct care worker, you have a responsibility to ensure the individual has the safest environment possible to live in. This course will help you identify, prevent, and manage accidents to provide a higher quality of life for the individuals you care for.
