Florida Laws and Rules for Massage Therapy

Course overview

This course was developed in order to meet the Florida Board of Massage Therapys Florida Laws and Rules requirement for massage therapists. This course will include a review of Chapter 456 and 480 Florida Statutes and Rule 64B7 of the Florida Administrative Code. It will cover pertinent changes to the Florida laws and rules governing massage therapy with topics to include issues in client/therapist relationships, working with the disabled and with populations of various ages, appropriate touch and draping issues and filing a complaint against an unethical or dangerous practitioner It is important for the Florida massage therapist to be informed regarding the statutes and rules that govern the practice of massage therapy in Florida.
