Course overview
This course combines video and written information to discuss communicating with patients who have Dementia and other cognitive disabilities. Communicating is vital for maintaining quality of life and preserving a sense of identity; and cognitively impaired individuals have difficulty with that. This course takes a look at the different types of cognitive impairment, while recognizing and identifying a patient's communication issues and possible solutions.
