CFRN/CTRN: Musculoskeletal Trauma and Burns

Course overview

Critical care transport professionals (CCTPs) treat many different types of patients in the field. Musculoskeletal and burn injuries frequently occur during motor vehicle crashes (MVCs), industrial accidents, and many other types of accidents, sometimes concurrently. Excellent prehospital care leads to improved outcomes for this patient population, and one of the best ways to provide good care is by identifying, assessing, and appropriately treating orthopedic and burn injuries in the field, as permitted by individual transport programs.
