Addressing Sexual Health, Sexuality, and Intimacy
Tracking # 20-971396
Course overview
Sex is an activity of daily living (ADL), yet many healthcare providers feel uncomfortable or incapable of addressing it in their practice. This course will identify evidence-based strategies for starting the conversation, along with resources for education and intervention for patients with sexual dysfunction. To truly be holistic and patient-centered, healthcare providers must address sexuality and intimacy regardless of the setting or patient population. The goal of this course is to discuss the concept of an interprofessional approach to sexual health, and provide the tools necessary for professional conversations regarding sexual health in the medical setting.
