Brexpiprazole

Course overview

Brexpiprazole is an atypical antipsychotic currently indicated for use as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults, as well as the treatment of schizophrenia in patients ages 13 and older. This drug has also been used off-label for the treatment of severe behavioral or psychological symptoms of dementia, and agitation in patients with Alzheimers disease. Brexpiprazole is currently being explored as a possible treatment for unipolar and bipolar patients with treatment-resistant depression when used in combination with other drugs.
