This module is a part of a series that will not only walk you through those changes but provide guidance on interpreting those assessment items, both existing and new ones. Evaluating functional ability is a crucial component of the comprehensive patient assessment. The OASIS contains specific item sets that help with this portion of the assessment. This module describes the guidelines for completing the OASIS items for activities of daily living (ADLs)/Instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) and Therapy Needs sections of the OASIS-D1 and how they correspond to sections of OASIS-E.
