At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to 1. Define and identify types of human trafficking, including forced labor. 2. Describe the demographics and motives of human trafficking. 3. Compare and contrast human trafficking to human smuggling. 4. Compare and contrast prostitution to commercial sex trafficking. 5. Recognize potential victims that may be at higher risk due to economic and psychosocial factors. Identify signs and symptoms presented in a clinical setting. 6. List the tactics used by traffickers to recruit and retain victims. 7. Explain how COVID-19 influences online trafficking. 8. Identify the industry often plagued with human trafficking victims. 9. Reference state and federal laws as it relates to human trafficking and communicates the rights of victims. 10. List the resources available for victims and agencies to report suspected human trafficking. 11. Discuss the extent of human trafficking in terms of human lives and profits on a global and U.S. scale, and the impact within Florida and the Panhandle.
