Verbal Crisis De-escalation

Course overview

This training presents a practical and systematic method to verbally de-escalate crisis situations. Techniques to avoid a crisis are introduced and discussed. Crisis De-escalation techniques of reflection, open ended questions and problem solving skills are introduced. The verbal techniques are used during role play. The CBT model is used to help staff remediation to teach another behavior.
