CFRN/CTRN: Special Populations - Geriatric and Bariatric Patients

Course overview

Critical care transport professionals (CCTPs) treat many different types of patients in the field. Managing bariatric and geriatric patients has its own challenges and considerations. Timely assessment and interventions in critical care transport leads to improved patient outcomes. In this course, we will cover general geriatric and bariatric considerations such as risk factors and managing specific traumas. The goal of this course is to refresh CCTPs knowledge of managing bariatric and geriatric patients and the various methods used to assess and manage these patients.
