Signs of Jing on the Face

Course overview

Jing is first and easiest measured in the cartilage of the upper ear. Jing comes in regular periods based on each individual's timetable and stages of growth. Modern neuroscience has also shown that the brain does not finish developing until the age of 25, which is around the time the Chinese believed someone was fully grown and, therefore, able to have their face read. As Chinese medicine practitioners, we can support our patients in understanding how to manage their Jing. We use certain signs to monitor its usage and encourage people to access the Jing they have yet to use. Longevity itself is not the goal, but being fully functional and enjoying life while living long enough to complete your life's work is the ultimate reward.
