The first 1/3 of your training (6 CE Hours) will be spent learning all about fascia, and many different myofascial hands-on techniques. This includes instructor demonstration plus student practice along time with SELENA BELISLE. Learn the anatomy of fascia plus the theoretical purpose of myofascial release. Students can work on themselves or a live model or simply watch the instructor practice the hands-on work. Myofascial strokes taught include: Myofascial Skin Rolling Alphabet Stroking (myofascial technique) Clock technique (to find myofascial restrictions) Overall Myofascial Stretching and Separating You will also: Learn the different types of fascia and it's compositional make-up Learn how pressure separates fascia and provides greater ROM Review scientific studies of myofascial release bodywork efficacy Review multiple anatomical pictures and video of human fascia Hands-on Skills will be taught for: Headaches Anterior Rotated Shoulder/Deltoid Taut IT Band Upper Leg Pain Plantar Fasciitis Upper Arm Pain Tennis Elbow Anteriorly Rotated Shoulder/Pecs The overall goals of this class are to learn myofascial strokes that can help loosen tissues for a more effective, therapeutic, bodywork result. The remaining 2/3 of class (12 CE Hours) will be Ben Benjamin's Advanced Myofascial Deep Tissue training with extensive hands-on practice. Ben's last 2/3 of this class will be an accelerated, 95% hands-on practice detailed palpation of orthopedic structures and anatomy, as well as advanced massage techniques designed to work on the most common soft-tissue injuries in the neck, upper back, mid-back, low back, shoulder and knee. We will physically identify frequently injured ligamentous and muscular structures as well as learn advanced myofascial muscular therapy techniques to address the stress and damage to these areas. You will learn dozens of new, advanced techniques to address some of the most common pains and injuries known today. Our goal in this training is to help you understand these anatomical structures as never before through physically locating and palpating each anatomical point with instructor demonstrations and practice along instruction. While some of the demonstrated techniques in this home study training may be applied to your own body, we recommend obtaining a live model to practice on during this self-paced training, to palpate various anatomical points and practice the physical bodywork while viewing an incredible amount of instructor demonstrations within this advanced bodywork.
