Course overview

Disruptive behaviors can interfere with all levels of mental health and substance use treatment. These behaviors can originate from past trauma or general life experiences. This free training will help professionals learn to show empathy while setting safe boundaries that will promote healthy treatment and recovery. Identify types of disruptive behaviors, using a trauma focused approach. Define, and gain¿knowledge on,¿specific Cognitive Behavioral interventions that deescalate disruptive behaviors in a healthy and safe manner. Be able to implement de-escalating techniques with the use of verbal interventions.
