Course overview

Acute and chronic respiratory diseases have significant effects on a persons functional mobility and endurance. This module provides a review of the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system and changes that occur with acute and chronic respiratory diseases such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), COPD, and asthma. Key considerations for monitoring and treatment of patients with these disorders are discussed.
