Course overview
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to Family Peer Support as an evidence-based strategy to support families with children with mental health or substance abuse needs. Counselors and Social Workers will learn their role in collaborating with family peer supporters and the benefits of engaging them to assist families. Specifically, participants will learn what family peer support is, identify the benefits of receiving family peer support, and understand where family peer supporters are utilized.
