Learning Objectives: * Review the professional issues in the area of mental health counseling. * Review key ethical responsibilities for counselors such as: confidentiality and privilege, competence, and clients' welfare and rights. * Review the National Board for Certified Counselors Code of Ethics; NBCC's Standards for the Ethical Practice of Internet Counseling; American Counseling Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
