This learning activity aims to increase learners' knowledge of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) and the effects on pregnant individuals and their fetuses. Nurses will understand the pathophysiology of the distinct types of HDP, including chronic hypertension, gestational hypertension, and preeclampsia. Nurses will also understand the risk factors, maternal complications, diagnosis, and treatment of each HDP.
