Preventing Falls From Head to Toe: Community Education on Fall Prevention

Course overview

One in four Americans over 65 fall each year and the cost for this is over 31 billion dollars. A powerful way to educate the public and physicians about the benefits of physical therapy and fall prevention is to go to community groups and offices and give a succinct but effective talk. This course will teach you and show you how to do this. The first half of the course is a detailed explanation of how to give an effective educational talk. The second part is Dr. Carole Lewis doing the talk with a question and answer session after the talk.
