Course overview

The Advanced Level Course is designed for the massage therapist who wants to practice a full body lymphatic drainage routine, learn how to mix lymphatic drainage with general massage and how to work with post-surgical clients with and without node removal, and with clients with lymphedema. A foundational level of lymphatic drainage training is a prerequisite to taking this course. The practitioner MUST have knowledge of the lymphatic drainage system and hands-on practice using this technique prior to taking this class. Practitioners are required to complete our Lymphatic Drainage Course prior to taking this course so they will be well prepared for this instruction. Upon completion of this program, the practitioner will earn a Certificate of Completion of Advanced Lymphatic Drainage. This course is a continuation of the Lymphatic Drainage course and will include a technique review and will teach techniques more specifically designed to treat post-surgical clients. You will learn how to mix lymphatic drainage techniques with general massage for pain relief. You will learn how to perform post-surgical lymphatic drainage for facelifts, liposuction, upper and lower extremities inflammation without node removal, upper and lower extremities with node removal, including post-mastectomy. Observe elastic taping techniques for Lymphedema and generalized edema and stable scar technique. Lymphatic drainage is a lucrative field and is in high demand as a preventative health care measure and presents a great opportunity for working with doctors in a variety of pre-and post-surgical procedures.
