Course overview
Being familiar with mental health disorders and having an understanding of the role of trauma in mental illness is important for caregivers. This course provides an understanding of trauma in the development of mental illness, barriers to accessing care and treatment, and the role that stigma and poverty play in mental health. It also provides information on effective treatments to improve mental health, including trauma-informed interventions.
