This offering suggests taking that education one step further and considering creating a healthcare world where nurses add "Purposeful Intention" to their communication toolkit, moving the needle from a healthcare experience to an exceptional healthcare experience. This offering, "Meaningful Messaging: Communication that Changes the Patient Experience," explores adding "purposeful Intention to nurses' interaction with patients. Meaningful nurse-patient communication begins with self-care. Previous communication skills are examined, purposeful intention is discussed, and three (3) inventive communication tools are shared. This offering has been developed to increase awareness on a need to shift the communication habits of nurses toward value by delivering meaningful communication through intention.
