Working With Grief

Course overview

Practitioners learn how to help patients move through their natural grief process. They learn to listen and communiate effectively to address grief as it arises, and direct the patient's awareness to their internal process in mind and body. Practitioners learn how to support emotional release and also to focus awareness on body sensations of ease and relaxation that activate the parasympathetic nervous system and open the door to a deeper and intuitive connection to themselves and the wisdom of shen. We address rituals to transform grief and online resources for patients. Practitioners learn how to help a person focus on a physical pattern of tension and unlock its emotional content using curiosity and an experimental attitude.
