Financial literacy may also improve professional satisfaction of nurses as nurses who understand financial management feel empowered to make informed financial decisions. Although nursing school covers a variety of clinical and professional topics, personal financial literacy is not usually included in undergraduate or graduate nursing curriculum. At the graduate level, nurses in an executive tract may have coursework in the financial aspects of the nurse executive role which may not translate easily to personal finance.
