This course is based on the book by the same name (Chapters 7 and 8). This book/course reviews time-effective and cost-effective strategies for helping clients break free of dysregulated behaviors--such as substance abuse, binge eating, compulsive spending, addictive behaviors, and aggression. Mindfulness and modification therapy (MMT) integrates mindfulness practices with elements of other evidence-based approaches. MMT can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as a beginning to more intensive therapy. This book/course reviews general theories, principles, and tips; session implementation guidelines; case examples; and guided mindfulness practices. This course is based on the Chapter 7-8 of the book, Treating Impulsive, Addictive, and Self-Destructive Behaviors: Mindfulness and Modification Therapy created by Peggilee Wupperman, Ph.D..
