Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to do the following: Discuss the number one cause of death in the United States Understand that heart disease is the number one reason CPR is performed Understand and discuss the manner that CPR needs to be performed Compare and contrast the difference in performing CPR on the adult, child and infant Identify a patient that is choking Understand the manner to do a Heimlich maneuver on a choking adult or child Understand the way to perform back blows and chest blows to a choking infant Discuss the importance of being able to properly identify a patient that requires immediate CPR treatment
