Course overview

This article is a systematic review and meta-analysis that investigated the effectiveness of different psychosocial interventions for people living with HIV (PLWH) and mental health problems. Additionally, characteristics that may influence the effectiveness of a treatment (e.g., treatment duration, type of provider) were studied. Depression, anxiety, quality of life, and psychological well-being were investigated as treatment outcome measures. This course is based on the reading-based online article, The Benefits of Psychosocial Interventions for Mental Health in People Living With HIV-A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis created by Dr. Nadia Garnefski, Philip Spinhoven, PhD, and Sanne van Luenen, PhD in 2018.
