  • Understand breast cancer oncology, etiology, diagnosis, types, medical treatment, surgical intervention, chemotherapy, radiation, and breast reconstruction
  • Understand the role of the PT, PTA, OT, COTA and LMT in breast cancer rehabilitation
  • Identify the conditions and diagnoses appropriate for breast cancer rehabilitation
  • Identify common side effects of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery and understand which conditions are common and do not require immediate medical attention and which conditions require physician referral
  • Identify medical complications or side effects that require immediate medical attention
