(MQ Simon 095620 2018) Nov/Dec 2018: A New Generation of Clients, - Is Therapy Keeping Pace?
Tracking # 20-986472
Course overview
This issue explores how millennials have changing the way therapists work with young adults. Today's young adults are experiencing staggering increases in rates of anxiety and depression, and issues stemming from seemingly endless choices. But they're also bringing their progressivism, values, and technology into therapy, and in turn expect a new kind of transparency and honesty from their therapists, challenging longstanding rules of therapeutic neutrality. Other articles deal with countering weight stigma with the Health At Every Size approach as well as the importance of recognizing the hidden strengths of introverted clients.
