The goal of this study is to investigate the bidirectional associations of negative self-conscious emotions and substance use, such as stimulants, alcohol, other substances, and injection drug use. The participants in this study were all sexual minority cisgender men with biologically confirmed recent methamphetamine use, enrolled in a randomized controlled trial in San Francisco, CA.
