Course overview

IHC as an aid in the evaluation of histopathological disease states has continued to remain popular since its early tentative applications; its widespread popularity worldwide has, however, ensured that as a methodology it remains a highly significant tool in the armoury of any modern-day histo/dermato pathologist. It has largely dominated selective areas of histopathology, such as lymphoma classification, primarily due to the advent of ever-increasing numbers of antibodies available to help to resolve complex issues of differential diagnoses. More importantly, however, IHC has proved to be the most consistently accurate and reproducible method currently employed within the field of histopathology.
