NPD-BC: Leadership

Course overview

The Nurse Professional Development (NPD) practitioner must be knowledgeable in several leadership competencies. The course will discuss organizational and individual leadership concepts and principles for the NPD practitioner. It will also discuss change and resource (team) management concepts. The course will then discuss communication principles and methods, transitioning into a discussion about conflict management and resolution. Lastly, the course will discuss collaboration, negotiation, and healthy work environment concepts and principles. The goal of this course is to provide nurses preparing for the Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) examination with information on leadership.
