This workshop has been designed to develop the awareness, knowledge, and skills of helping professionals interested in integrating animal-assisted therapy into practice. This includes therapists, teachers, nurses, or anyone who works with a population that would benefit from incorporating animals into practice. This webinar will include an introduction to canine-assisted and equine-assisted therapy, some legal, ethical, and business considerations for incorporating into practice, and some take-home worksheets with the steps needed to move forward. Active participation will be encouraged as we will work through some sample interventions participants could use with their population of interest.
