Course overview

Participants will be able to list and describe the 11 Executive Function skills, will be able to name the negative educational, occupational and social outcomes associated with untreated ADHD, will be able to describe the developmental challenges faced by adults and youth as well as the additional stresses faced by ethnic sexual or religious minorities, will be able to assess youth and adults with weak EF skills using observation and interviewing techniques as well as rating scales, will be able to describe the key components of CBT for ADHD adults, Parent Management Training, EF training for youth and adults, psychiatric medications, and lifestyle interventions, and will be able to name school interventions found to be helpful for youth with ADHD and/or EF weaknesses.
