*** This course meets the requirements of the Florida Board of Nursing for the two hour "Rules and Laws of the Florida Board of Nursing" mandatory course. *** This course covers the statutes and administrative code that governs the practice of nursing in Florida. It includes a review of the definitions of the the types of licensure, the history of nurse practice acts, standards of practice, licensure requirements, ethical and legal issues, disciplinary actions and levels of misconduct, tort law and malpractice and exceptions to the nurse practice act.
