**** This course fulfills the 2 hour Florida Board of Nursing Requirement for licensure **** Human trafficking is a serious problem that is frequently invisible, in part, due to the lack of knowledge of healthcare practitioners who come in contact with victims. This course reviews the problem of human trafficking including statistics, and history. It will cover definitions, scope, identifying risk factors, assessment findings that can suggest a victim as well as follow up to identifying victims, and how to report cases and how to intervene in the moment, and the resources available to healthcare practitioners as well as victims.
