Communication with Cognitively Impaired Persons

Course overview

This initial two hour home study course is developed for the healthcare provider including all Certified Nursing Assistants CNA and or Home Health Aides HHA LPNs, RNs that assist the patients in the home or in an Adult Living facility with cognitively impaired persons. The student should be able to identify cognitively impaired persons, the process of the impaired and the situation surrounding the impairment, including but not limited to medical records vital signs and other important information that will aid in the proper care and treatment of the patient. The healthcare provider taking this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. The healthcare provider must successfully complete the review of the information below, take the attached examination and complete the survey form attached.
