Course overview

The Electrical Construction and Maintenance Related Instruction for Apprenticeship program at Macomb Community College combines classroom theory and hands-on education to deliver the related technical instruction necessary to become a successful electrical journeyperson. The program is a four-year curriculum that focuses on electrical theory, print reading, mathematics, electrical code requirements and safety practices. It is intended to be coupled with 8,000 hours of on-the-job training provided by a licensed electrician. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a certificate of completion verifying they have met the related technical instruction requirements for an apprenticeship program with a recognized employer.
