Learn moreCourse overview
For purposes of this course, a fall is intended to describe when a person suddenly and unintentionally lands to the ground from a standing position. Falls can happen for any number of reasons, anywhere, and at any time. They can impact mobility, independence, and overall quality of life no matter how big or small. A person sixty-five or older escalates their potential risk due to general mobility and sensory changes that may occur as part of the natural aging process. This course will discuss other factors that may also contribute to the fall and how the health care professional can help reduce as well as advocate for a solution that helps with prevention of a related injury.
