Course overview

Social-Emotional Intelligence (SEI) and effective people skills begin with self-reflection and self-awareness. These dimensions are the springboard to prepare nursing professionals to lead change, navigate challenge and cultivate compassion to foster belonging, motivate teams, and inspire the people they lead. Just as any skill or habit, SEI can be learned. Thru discussions, participants will engage in activities that will aid in powerful affective skill development such as behavioral self-control, humility, compassion, resilience, communication, and empathy, the most important human attribute crucial to every aspect of life. By self-reflecting on their journey and finding support and inspiration in the journey of others, participants will take part in small group conversations that offer the opportunity to reflect on where they are today and where they would like to be tomorrow, learning and growing together. This offering is aimed at gaining personal insight and are designed to give participants tools they can use to nurture well-being and positive personal and professional relationships to achieve success.
