Course overview
The purpose of collecting information on errors in mental health practice is to identify areas where additional information and protocols can improve patient safety. The first chapter of this medical errors course includes information about root-cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, and patient safety. Adverse events/potential harms, types of errors, patient safety, and best practices/efficacy are discussed in the analyses. Three brief reports address improvements and safety, in mental health practice (i.e. best practices).
