Course overview

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS, requires that all participating nursing organizations in the U.S. be compliant with all aspects of the Life Safety Code. The mandates they set forth are based on the 2012 National Fire Protection Association's NFPA 101, Life Safety Code. You will be asked to ensure your facility complies with these codes. This course discusses the Life Safety Code and the required steps you and your organization must take to prevent fires, electrical malfunctions, and other safety hazards as outlined in the code.
