This course is designed to inform the student about what medical errors are. The student will review the causes that contribute to medical errors. After learning about the factors contributing to medical errors, the student will then review different processes for reducing the occurrence of medical errors. Finally, the student will learn about methods for preventing medical errors and/or promoting patient safety.
