Course overview
Cultural competence in healthcare is defined as the method of delivering effective, safe, quality care to patients who have diverse values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. In order to practice cultural competence, healthcare professionals must comprehend the potential influence cultural differences can have on both healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. This course addresses the components of cultural competency in healthcare, how they might impact patient care, and how to implement best practices of cultural competence.
