Urinalysis: Specimen Collection and Evaluation

Course overview
A complete urinalysis consists of a macroscopic exam and chemical analysis, usually with a commercially made dipstick, and a microscopic exam of the concentrated urine sediment. Laboratory professionals, nurses, and medical assistants need to be familiar with aspects of urinalysis as well as correct urine collection procedures. The goal of this course is to educate laboratory professionals, nurses, and medical assistants about specimen collection, as well as micro- and macro-urinalysis testing and evaluation.
