Join us for this informative self-paced, one hour, on demand video training on Bereavement Counseling. Learn about the study of thanatology and the difference between bereavement, morning, and grief. Participants will explore the true purpose of the Kubler-Rose Model and explore Dr. Randos 6Rs in the process of morning. Participants will examine different types of grief, review the new Prolonged Grief Disorder, and learn typical responses to grief. In addition, participants will learn to consider the importance of faith, culture, and spirituality when treating grief and explore the use of rituals and traditions in grief counseling. Finally, learn and review treatment interventions including Ecotherapy, Dual Process Model of coping with grief, and Tasks of Morning.
