End of Life Care

Course overview

This course provides the learner with information on the care of the individual at the end-of-life. Palliative care will be differentiated from hospice care and a review of pathophysiologic changes that occur at the end-of-life are reviewed as are the most common medications used for symptom management. Advanced directives are discussed along with supportive measures nurses can take to support the dying individual and their loved ones.
